  3. Thank you for choosing MicroTac Software's Spanish Assistant for
  4. Windows. We are proud of this product, and are confident that it will
  5. help you communicate in Spanish.

  7. Please remember that proper accents are critical for a good translation.
  8. If you have questions about accents, please refer to chapter 9 of the
  9. User's Guide.

  11. The appendix of the User's Guide also includes Common Questions that
  12. you may wish to read before calling technical support.

  14. Translating documents is now very easy.  And now that word processing
  15. formats are preserved during translation, the translation may look like
  16. a perfect document, ready for publication.  Be careful!  While the
  17. software generally produces understandable translations, only a
  18. professional translator can guarantee a perfect translation.
  19.  
  20. Run some of the sample files to get an idea of the translation quality.
  21. "Understandable" translation is appropriate in some cases, while other
  22. cases require "publication" quality translation.
  23.  
  24. Please note:
  25. Once a document has been translated, any changes made to the original
  26. will untranslate that portion of the document.  If you use either
  27. Paragraph or Character from the Format menu, you will lose the
  28. translations of the selected sentences.  Reformatting the entire
  29. document will untranslate the entire document.  When following the
  30. Tutorial in Chapter 4 of the User's Guide, be aware that the section
  31. "Formatting Your Project" is not intended to be performed after
  32. translating a document.  If your document is inadvertently untranslated,
  33. you can retrieve the last saved version by opening the File menu and
  34. using Revert to Saved.
