  1. CD-Rom Information for Teach Yourself CGI Programming with Perl in a Week

  3. This CD-ROM contains source code from the author, copies of the GNU Perl compiler (versions 4 & 5), example scripts and libraries for CGI script development.

All contributed code, software and programs are used here by permission of the contributor. GNU software is included and readers should view the GNU distribtion information (\gnu\copying.gnu) included with the GNU software located in the \GNU directory of the CD-ROM. Additional documentation can be found at the URL: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/texinfodoc/dir.html or at the GNU FTP site: ftp://prep.ai.mit.edu/pub/gnu/

  7. An HTML file 'CGI-PERL.HTM' is included in the root directory of the CD-ROM and it links to many sites on the WWW where additional support for Perl and CGI scripting can be found.

  17. For Windows users, a copy of the shareware program WinZip is included to permit decompression of the .GZ, .TAR, or .ZIP files. For DOS users, a copy of the the GNU zip software gzip is located in the GNU directory.
  18. It can also be used to decompress files.
