  1. PDCLKSET sets the time and date of the PC clock using a TIME server.
  2. It has daylight saveing (summer time) algorithms for most of the world.
  3. It can use BOOTP to get IP number and other info.
  4. PDCLKSET talks to the network card via a packet driver (using ODIPKT or
  5. DIS_PKT you can run it over ODI or NDIS too).

  7. PDCLKSET can assign the proper normal or summer time timezone name to
  8. an environment variable (TZ is used by most systems).

  11. There is also a very powerful built in ping/echo client and server giving
  12. important statistics on delay, load and packet loss. It can even load a
  13. network to the full Ethernet bandwidth. It can be used to stress software
  14. and hardware components such as driver routines, routers, bridges, repeaters,
  15. Ethernet cards and transceivers.

  17. The PDTBUILD program, which is included in the ZIP package, looks
  18. at all ARP broadcasts and generates hardware address tables with all the IP 
  19. hosts on this (sub)net. It detects IP and hardware address duplication.

  22. And still, PDCLKSET is so small (14 KB) you can use it even on 
  23. diskette-only PCs.
