  113. Ian Wade is well-known throughout the data communications world,
  114. having founded "DATACOM" and "Connect International", and hosted
  115. regular columns in the technical press (including BARTG's "Packet
  116. International" and RSGB's "Data Comms").  He is also a frequent
  117. lecturer on data comms, with a renowned off-beat approach
  118. designed to stimulate interest in what could otherwise be a very
  119. dull subject.

  121. By profession, Ian is an independent computer consultant,
  122. specialising in Open Systems and computer security.  He was
  123. involved in the design of one of the world's first commercial
  124. satellite packet networks in 1976, and has been active in amateur
  125. packet radio since 1984.
