  4. This file contains instructions on ordering a licensed
  5. (registered) version of FM StepUp for Windows(r) NT:
  6.  
  7.   - information on registering through Compuserve(r) SWREG service;
  8.  
  9.   - credit card order form (MUST be sent to PsL, *not* to ChaoSoft! )
  10.  
  11.   - order form for payments with a check or money order;
  12.  
  13.   - special offer to 'sidegrade' for registered users of FM StepUp
  14.     for Windows 3.1/3.11 (save 30%!)
  15.  
  16. Please choose one of the forms below, type in the information
  17. requested, print it out, and follow the instructions on submitting
  18. the form and payment.
  19.  
  20. NOTE:  Credit card orders should be sent to Public (software)
  21.        Library to be processed, NOT to ChaoSoft!  Thank you.

  23. ChaoSoft licenses the software on the 'per-user', not a
  24. 'per-computer' basis. This means that you may purchase a single
  25. individual license and install FM StepUp on more than one computer (for
  26. example, a desktop system and a notebook), provided that there is
  27. *no possibility* to use the Registered Copy by anybody else.
  28.  
  29. On the other hand, if more than one person uses a computer, every
  30. such user must purchase an individual license for continued use of
  31. the software, or a site license for the total number of users
  32. accessing the computer must be obtained.
  33.  
  34. If you have already received the Registration Acknowledment from
  35. ChaoSoft, please run Setup.exe (from the directory in which you
  36. have installed FM StepUp) and choose the 'Register' button.

  40.                 How to register via Compuserve (r)
  41.  
  42. If you are a Compuserve member, connect to CIS as usual, and enter
  43. GO SWREG at any ! prompt. Choose 'Register a program' from a menu,
  44. and select program ID #: 5931
  45.  
  46. Follow the instructions on the screen. After you enter all the
  47. information requested, the registration fee for FM StepUp for
  48. Windows NT will be added to your CIS bill.
  49.  
  50. NOTE: quantity discounts are not available when registering via
  51. SWREG service.
