  1. CompInfo Utility:

  3. Description:
  4.   CompInfo is a utility for Windows 95 and Windows NT 3.51 (or later).  It gives statistics 
  5. about the file system, physical memory available, hardware configuration and paging file space.                                 
  6.  
  7. Installation:
  8.  Just run CompInfo.exe from inside Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 (or later).  It will open
  9. at the bottom of your screen and give memory and disk statistics dynamically as they
  10. change.
  11.  
  12. Features:
  13.  From the system menu, you can choose "Select a drive" to pick a different drive to get
  14. stats on.  You can also choose "Keep on Top" to keep the program topmost of all running
  15. programs.  As you resize the program window, the font gets bigger/smaller, and so lets you
  16. see less/more information accordingly.

  18. Detail:
  19.  Information given includes the following:
  20.   -Memory Use
  21.     Specifies a percentage that gives an idea of current memory usage, in which 0 
  22.     indicates no memory use and 100 indicates full memory use. 
  23.   -Physical Memory Available
  24.     Indicates the number of bytes of physical memory available as a percentage of
  25.     the total number of bytes of physical memory, along with the size in MB of total 
  26.     physical memory.  
  27.   -Disk Space Free
  28.     Shows what percentage of free space remains, total MB drive capacity and MB remaining
  29.     on the selected drive.
  30.   -Paging File Available
  31.     Indicates the percentage free and number of bytes available in the paging file 
  32.     out of the total number of bytes that can be stored in the paging file. 
  33.   -Volume Name and Serial Number
  34.   -Number of Processors and their class
  35.   -OS version and build
  36.   -Computer Name
  37.   -File System name
