Background Formatting
Only Mr. Format allows you to effortlessly format diskettes in the background while you continue to use your computer for normal activities. This increases your productivity and saves you great amounts of time.
Non-Verified Formatting
Mr. Format can be configured to format diskettes without verifying each track on the disk as it formats. This will essentially reduce the formatting time by 50%!!! While this method may not be advisable on all diskettes formatted, any new or relatively new diskette should be formattable using this option with not problem at all!
Speed Format
Mr. Format is the only formatting utility that allows you to format diskettes with only a single keystroke between disk changes. Here is a typical scenario: Joe Smith wants to format a box of diskettes all at one sitting. He starts Mr. Format and selects the options for formatting (since these disks are new, he has chosen to NOT verify the format). He inserts the first disk and presses START. This begins the format process. When it is over, he simply exchanges the newly formatted diskette with another new diskette and presses ENTER. This begins the format process again, using the same settings as last time (note: this process will not clear the volume label between disk changes). It couldn't be simpler!!
Minimize on Format
Mr. Format can automatically minimize itself when you begin formatting a diskette. When using this option, the Mr. Format window will automatically restore itself to its old position when formatting has completed. This makes background disk formatting with a single keystroke possible!
