  1. COPYQM Version 3.22.  August, 1995
  2. CopyQM is a diskette duplicating program
  3. that, since its introduction in 1987,
  4. has set the standard for PC duplication
  5. software.  This program is by far
  6. Sydex's most popular, though we do offer
  7. a complete line of programs related to
  8. diskette duplication and conversion.

  11. CopyQM is one of the few products to copy
  12. Microsoft 1.7MB DMF and 1.72MB WinImage
  13. distribution diskettes used for most
  14. Microsoft Windows-based products.
  15.  
  16. CopyQM reads a master diskette and
  17. formats, writes and verifies duplicates
  18. of the master diskette.  Copying can be
  19. performed on up to six drives in a
  20. single session; copies are written on
  21. only one drive at a time. "No Hands"
  22. operation is featured--after you've
  23. started things, you needn't touch the
  24. keyboard again; just insert diskettes in
  25. drives as needed.

  27. In addition to the basic operating mode,
  28. CopyQM features the following:

  30. * Conversion between different formats.
  31. Unlike competing products which just
  32. copy the same format to different
  33. drives, CopyQM actually rebuilds the
  34. diskette format to match the drive. It's
  35. possible to convert from a 360K format
  36. to a 1.44M format.  And you wind up with
  37. 1.44M worth of diskette space.

  39. * Support of image files.  An image file
  40. created by CopyQM is a complete
  41. description of the information on a
  42. diskette. You can enter a comment to be
  43. included (registered version). The image
  44. file is checksummed with a 32-bit CRC.

  46. * Copies Mac HD and DOS diskettes with
  47. no special processing. Will copy most
  48. PC-readable diskettes regardless of
  49. format with the "Blind" option.

  51. * Copies Microsoft DMF 1.68MB diskettes.

  53. * "SMART" mode will format diskettes
  54. only when needed.

  56. * Faster copying by copying only active
  57. data--the empty area on a partially-
  58. filled diskette is not copied.

  60. * Optional "Plus version" includes
  61. serial numbering facility, insertion of
  62. copy-protection information, diskette
  63. maintenance utility, self-extracting
  64. image files and more.
