  1. TIME and MONEY (TAM), Version 2.1, is a simple monitoring and planning
  2. program for controlling home finances.  It is distributed as shareware.
  3.  
  4. The program will work with any IBM personal computer, including the
  5. junior, the XT, the AT, and the new PS/2, if the computer has at least
  6. 256K of memory, and at least one double-sided floppy disk.  Hard disks
  7. are better.  TAM is compatible with any MSDOS except Ver. 1.X.  It will
  8. work equally well in color or black and white.

  10. If you have a hard disk, make a directory and put all the TAM files 
  11. there.  You can start the program like this:

  13.           C> TAMSTART
  14.  
  15. If you have a two floppy disk system, format a blank disk and put a copy
  16. of DOS on it.  Now copy all the files on the TAM distribution disk onto
  17. this program disk, except for TRANS, BUDGET1, and PLAN1.  The program
  18. disk goes in drive A.  The 3 demo files should go on a data disk in
  19. drive B.  Start the program this way:

  23. If you have a single floppy system, put DOS on it and all the files from
  24. the TAM distribution disk.  You start the program this way:

  28. When the program begins, some questions about your equipment will be
  29. asked.  If you don't see these questions, locate a file named TAMSETUP
  30. on your disk(s) and erase it; then start over.  Otherwise you would have
  31. been working with configuration information left over from someone 
  32. else's use of the program.

  34. After the equipment questions, you will see a main menu.  From here you
  35. can display a short tutorial describing how to operate all the features
  36. of the TAM system.
