- Beta. This product is under continuing development and
- quality testing by Microsoft. We invite you to use it and
- let us know of problems you encounter. Submit problem

- 1. TCPIP/WINSOCK.DLL Compatibility
- Internet Assistant is compatible with Microsoft TCP/IP for
- Windows for Workgroups 3.11 available from
- http://www.microsoft.com/pages/bussys/wolverine/default.htm.
- It is also compatible with the latest versions of
- TCPIP/WINSOCK.DLL software available from many Internet
- service providers. For current information on compatibility
- with TCPIP/WINSOCK.DLL software, check the page available at
- http://www.microsoft.com/pages/deskapps/word/ia/support.htm.

- 2. Installing over a previous beta version of Internet
- Assistant. If you have previously installed a previous beta version of
- Internet Assistant, you must complete the following steps
- prior to running setup.exe.

- * Using Windows File Manager, find and delete all IW*.*
- files, using the following procedure.
- 1. From the File menu, choose search
- 2. In the Search For box, type: IW*.*
- 3. In the Search From box, type: C:\ (or other hard
- drive location where you installed Internet Assistant
- 4. Select all files in the resulting window, and then
- press DELETE
- * Delete the templates HTML.DOT and WEBVIEW.DOT from your
- Word templates directory.
- * Delete the file HTMLWLL.WLL from your Word startup
- directory.
- * Delete the file WORDHTML.INI from your Windows directory.

- 3. Removing Internet Assistant
- You may remove Internet Assistant from your computer by
- rerunning setup.exe and selecting "remove all". Note: You
- may wish to back up favorite.doc in your winword\internet
- subdirectory by saving it in under another name prior to
- removing all Internet Assistant files.
