  20. Requirements
  21. ============
  22. CD-ROM for installation
  23.  
  24. IBM PC compatible, 386 or better CPU.
  25.  
  26. Disk space - Less than 2 MB in a FAT or FAT32 primary partition on the
  27. first drive.  An OS can be installed before or after the System Commander
  28. installation in this same partition (i.e. System Commander does not use
  29. any OS for its operation).

  32. Installation
  33. ============
  34. You install System Commander from Windows 95/98 or DOS (either using a boot
  35. diskette, or while running any of these OSes directly from your PC.)  You
  36. cannot use Windows NT/2000, OS/2 or Windows ME to install System Commander,
  37. as these OSes prevent normal access to the disk.  Once System Commander is
  38. installed, it can boot any OS, including Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME, Unix,
  39. Linux, or any other OS installed in a primary partition on the first drive.

  41. To install, run SETUP from the CD-ROM's System Commander installation
  42. directory.

  45. Windows XP
  46. ==========
  47. This Lite edition has not been tested with Windows XP and may or may not
  48. work properly. Check our web site for the current status of Windows XP
  49. and our released products.
