  2. KeyText 2000 v2.22, for Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000 or XP

  5. Version 2.22 fixes a minor bug in version 2.21 of KeyText 2000,
  6. the keyboard macro and Windows automation program.
  7.  
  8. To install, follow the instructions in readme.txt. It is safe
  9. to install KeyText 2000 to the same folder as an earlier
  10. version, but make sure you exit KeyText first, if it is
  11. running.
  12.  
  13. We also advise, as part of your normal backup strategy, the
  14. regular copying to a safe place of any files with the
  15. extension .ktt - these contain your KeyText data. This should
  16. be done prior to installation of any new version.
  17.  
  18. If you have purchased a KeyText license, your existing code
  19. will work for KeyText 2000 also.

  23.                   What's New in v2.22
  24. =========================================================

  26. 2.22    If an item has a {Clipboard} field near the
  27.     beginning, and the clipboard contains text, this
  28.     text displays in the KeyText menu for that item.
  29.     This has been extended so that if a text file has
  30.     been copied in Explorer, the first characters of it
  31.     will display. For example, if item A contains only
  32.     the field {Clipboard}, and the KeyText readme.txt
  33.     has been copied in Explorer, the KeyText menu will
  34.     display -  A: KeyText 2000 v2.22, for...
  35.     (Note that if item A is then selected, the full
  36.     contents of the text file would then be typed or
  37.     pasted, depending on whether Action:Macro or
  38.     Action:Paste is selected, giving a quick way to
  39.     extract text from a file without opening it. This
  40.     is existing functionality; the change in 2.22 is
  41.     only to    the menu display.)

  43.     KeyText was failing to simulate correctly a Ctrl
  44.     Shift + direction key combination in an item, for
  45.     example {Ctrl-Shift End}. Now fixed.
  46.     
  47.     If using a KeyText data file set to read-only, a
  48.     warning message "changes will not be retained" was
  49.     displayed when logging off or shutting down Windows.
  50.     Now removed.
  51.     
  52.     The feature to allow a double-click of the KeyText
  53.     icon to run item A (see Settings / Customize) did
  54.     not work in Windows 2000. Now fixed.
  55.     
  56.     When using a Call field to call an item which ended
  57.     with a mouse action field (or certain other fields),
  58.     control was not returned to the calling item. Now
  59.     fixed.
  60.     
  61.     In certain circumstances, scheduled items would fail
  62.     to start after opening and closing the Settings
  63.     dialog. Now fixed.
  64.     
  65.     In Settings / Global, under "Ignore a return
  66.     character which follows the following fields", the
  67.     Ask field has been removed from the list. Note that
  68.     this is not a change in functionality; a return
  69.     character following an Ask field will always be
  70.     typed.
  71.     
  72.     Fix of problem occasionally experienced by Windows
  73.     2000 users where the letter after an upper case
  74.     letter is incorrectly also typed in upper case.
  75.     
  76.     Fix of a rare problem where an error would display
  77.     when selecting "Edit text items".
