- You were watching your Real Time Clock (RTC) roll-over from 1999 to the
- year 2000. We set it to 1 minute before midnight on the turn of the
- century. We directly reported the date which the RTC will pass to the
- BIOS.

- If the RTC went back to 1/1/1900, See the section 'Real Time Clocks'
- for the reasons. Whether that is important to you depends on how the
- BIOS handles the date, and also whether any programs directly
- interrogate the RTC for the date.

- A chip which gets the date and time from the Real Time Clock and
