  20. The product

  23. Slide Librarian lets you catalogue your slide (transparency) library on your
  24. PC. This makes it easy to search for specific slides by title or keywords
  25. and to create slide shows and talks.
  26.  
  27. You can also use the system to keep track of where your slides are. Some may
  28. be out on loan for example. SpanSoft also produce a professional version of
  29. this program aimed at organisations who run a lending library. Please

  32. As well as recording details of each slide (such as title, keywords, image
  33. quality, etc), Slide Librarian will also store an image of each slide. So if
  34. you have the equipment to scan or digitise your slides you can actually see
  35. the pictures on your PC. As well as "slide-sized" thumbnails of each slide
  36. you can store full-screen images of each slide. Just double-clicking on a
  37. thumbnail brings up the full-sized image.

  39. Slide Librarian will print out slide labels to your specification. Each
  40. slide is given a number and category prefix so that once your slides are
  41. labelled, it's easy to pick out the ones you need for a slide show. You can
  42. include any of the slide details on the label as well as a "stamp" such as
  43. your name, copyright, etc.

  45. Slide shows or talks are constructed on a "light table". You use keywords or
  46. simple SQL statements to find the slides you want from the database and then
  47. drop the slides onto the light table. You can now move the slides about into
  48. the order you want and then save that particular slide show in case you need
  49. it again.

  51. Slide Librarian will print out a Running Order, Picking List or Contact
  52. Sheet for the slide show currently on the light table.

  54. The Running Order print shows the slides in the order they appear on the
  55. light table. This is the order in which the slides should be loaded into the
  56. projector. The Picking List print shows the same slides sorted by slide
  57. number so that you can retrieve the slides from your library easily. The
  58. Contact Sheet is a printed copy of the light table.

  60. Any slides which have been booked out (ie. they are not currently available)
  61. are indicated on the light table.

  63. You can get a quick summary of a slide's data just be right-clicking on the
  64. image on the light table and of course the full-sized image by double-
  65. clicking.

  67. If you do not have the equipment to scan your slides, Slide Librarian will
  68. work just as well without slide images. In place of the pictures you will
  69. see the slide title.

  71. If you already have a database catalogue of slides on your PC, Slide
  72. Librarian can import your existing data via a delimited text file. Slide
  73. images can be added easily at a future date.

  108. This product is SHAREWARE. The version on this release disk is a fully
  109. functional evaluation copy which the user may install and use free of charge
  110. for 30 days. After that time, if the user wishes to continue use, a fixed
  111. registration fee of 25 Pounds Sterling is payable to us.
  112. Registration reminder screens are used in the program, increasing in
  113. severity when 30 days have passed.
  114. Upon registration the user will receive a registration key with which to
  115. register the software and the latest version on disk.
