NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE 30 MEGs of TEMPORARY FREE SPACE ON YOUR c: drive to expand and install this patch
1) Click on the link below and download the zip file to your desktop or temp file.
1a) you will need a compression utility (i.e.: WinZip [available from www.tucows.com]) to uncompress this file.
2) Double click on the zipped file (UprisingPatch.zip)
3) In the WinZip window - point to your temp folder or desktop and select "Extract"
4) You will now see "installme.txt" and "urpatch.EXE"
5) Double click on the urpatch.exe file; a window displaying the directory path will appear onscreen.
5a) Be sure the directory path in this window represents the current Uprising directory on your machine.
6) Click the Unzip button and the files will be unzipped to your drive.
7) When a dialogue box appears saying 7 files unzipped, click the okay button to launch the patch.bat file.
8) A DOS window will appear and the files will then be installed to the appropriate directory.
This could take a few minutes.
9) When "Finished" appears in the DOS title bar, close the DOS window to complete the install.
Because the patch includes new versions of both the hardware and the software version of Uprising, and only one of those two is installed on your machine, you may see messages in the DOS window indicating that one file patch has failed: that is to be expected.
Once the patch is installed:
All that is left to do is launch the game. Simply open the Start Menu, select Programs, Cyclone Studios, and then Uprising.
