- BLUE vs RED

- BLUE vs RED is a strategic game played turn by turn on
- a 12x12 board.
- You play the BLUE and the computer play the RED.
-

- Requirements :
- - Win95 (NT4 not tested but it should play)
- - Screen 800x600 with 65000 colors (at least)
- - 1Mo500 free on your Hard-Disk
- - A mouse (sorry no keyboard)

- Installation :
- just double-click on the icon BvsR. Click on
- the UNZIP button, a default directory called BvsR will
- be created at the root of your HD (C:\BvsR).
- Click CLOSE button to end.
- Open the directory BvsR and double-click on the icon
- Blue vs Red for starting the game.

- Rules :
- Two choices :
- ==> A piece on the board can evoluate (if you've got one on the board !!!),
- just left click on the piece.
-
- If you have enough gold, (see the board, column COST) the piece will evoluate
- in the order (depending the piece) :
- SOLDIER -> EARL -> DUKE -> KING
-
- You cannot change this order.
-
- ==> Or you can put a new piece on the board.
- Click with the left button on the construction and move
- the mouse on the board, after click left to put the piece
- on the board (the piece is "mouse centered").
- If you want to choose another piece : before placing the piece
- on the board, just left-click anywhere outside the board, the choosen
- piece is cancel, choose another ...

- When you move the piece, you see it form. A piece cannot be
- placed on another piece.

- If you have not enough gold, you can't select the piece (see the board,
- case COST).
-
- ==> You may PASS YOUR TURN, just click in the box with this name.
- Computer (RED) can also pass his turn.
-
- ==> At each turn, points and gold are upated.
-
- ==> You CONQUER or LOOSE a piece if :
- each piece brings points and golds AT EACH TURN !
- And each piece have a potential of resistance.
-
- To conquer or loosing a piece, at each turn and for
- each piece, the computer caclulate the sum of the
- ennemy around the piece. See the board next (Lost Unit).
-
- For example, your DUKE is loosing if arounds this piece
- the sum of the ennemi pieces are at least 8.
-
- Point/turn Gold/turn Cost Lost Unit
- SOLDIER 1 1 5 2
- EARL 2 10 500 4
- DUKE 4 100 5000 8
- KING 8 1000 15000 12

- The game is finished when :
- - they are no movements possible (the board is full)
- OR
- - the difference between your gold and computer's gold
- are superior to the authorised difference (look the
- window's caption), see bottom for more.

- The Winner is :
- the player which the points are the best.
-
- ----------------------------------------------------

- When the game begins :
- - The difference gold is randomized between 30000 - 50000 golds,
- this indicates the difference maximum between your gold and
- computer's gold. If this difference is overtaking, game stops.

- - Each player receive 15000 golds.
-
- - Points are 0.
-

- The avalaible commands in the Game
-
- ==> The 4 pieces - ORDER box - :
- SOLDIER EARL
- DUKE KING
- You click with the RIGHT button on the construction and
- a windows appears with the renseignements of the pieces.
- You click with the LEFT button to select the piece.
- Click anywhere outside the board to cancel the piece.

- For all this boxes, just click left :
-
- ==> PASS YOUR TURN box : well, has is-it say, you abandon your turn.
-
- ==> NEW GAME box : just start a new game.
-
- ==> QUIT GAME box : well, quit ...
-
- ==> PLAYING box : indicates who is playing : YOU or COMPUTER (not clickable).
