  6. SBNews / News Robot: Binary Newsgroup Auto-Downloader (32-bit version)
  7. Automatically download and decode attachments from binary newsgroups. Works
  8. with all types of attachments including jpeg/gif/bmp images, mp3/wav audio
  9. files, avi/mpg movies, archive files, and much more. Thumbnail viewer displays
  10. images real-time as they are downloaded from newsgroups, and a built-in full-
  11. screen image viewer is included to browse pictures after they have been
  12. downloaded. Sophisticated lockout and spam rejection filters ensure that
  13. unwanted information is not downloaded, saving time and eliminating
  14. frustration. Comprehensive logging and statistical information keep you well
  15. informed of how effective your session has been. An extremely reliable and
  16. proven duplicate rejection system is able to reject duplicates based on
  17. filename or message subject. Automatic file encryption protects sensitive
  18. downloads. Fully automated and capable of running reliably overnight to
  19. download files unattended. Interactive manual header selection mode is included
  20. to let you pick and choose downloads if you prefer interactive use. 32-bit
  21. version supports Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, and 2000. Fully functional without and
  22. limitations.

  30. Installation:

  32.   Run the program SETUP.EXE. This is a standard InstallShield setup program
  33.   and is a very common and user-friendly means of installing Windows
  34.   software. It should be self-intuitive, and should setup everything for
  35.   you.

  37.   I will also make a version without a setup program available under the file
  38.   name convention "SBN32Zxx.ZIP" (xx being the version number). You can use
  39.   the version without the setup program if you'd like to copy and install the
  40.   files manually.

  42. Documentation is included in two formats:
  43.  
  44.   1) HTML format: NEWSBOT.HTM, REGISTER.HTM, etc
  45.  
  46.      HTML format (HyperText Markup Language) files may be loaded by your
  47.      web browser, or various html utilities. The file is formatted much
  48.      nicer in HTML than in the plain ascii format below.

  50.   2) Ascii format: NEWSBOT.DOC, REGISTER.DOC, etc
  51.  
  52.      A conversion of the HTML format files to plain ascii. If you don't
  53.      have a program that understands html, you can use these files.
