  8. For the Viper Pro Video Windows 3.1x BETA driver version 2.03D.

  11. Installation Notes
  12. ------------------
  13. *  Set your Windows display to standard VGA display driver before installing 
  14.    our display drivers.
  15.  
  16. *  We recommended that you run our INSTALL.EXE program from the DOS prompt.
  17.  
  18. *  If you wish to change your resolution at any time, use the InControl
  19.    Tools which is located in the lower left hand corner of your Windows 3.1
  20.    Desktop or in the Control Panel.

  23. To update Viper Pro Video Windows 3.1x Drivers v2.0x -> v2.03D:
  24. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
  25. 1.  Run Windows 3.1x Setup and select VGA display driver.
  26. 2.  Exit Windows 3.1x completely.
  27. 3.  From the DOS prompt, run the INSTALL.EXE program located on the
  28.     Viper Pro Video Windows 3.1 display driver disk.

  43. Special Note for VL-BUS users:
  44. ------------------------------
  45.   Default Memory Base Address for Windows 3.1 is 80000000.  Some  
  46.   motherboards do not support this address.  Windows will be blank
  47.   screen or lock-up. To change the Memory Base Address for Windows 3.1,
  48.   you will need to follow these instructions:
  49.  
  50.   1.  Use a text editor and edit you system.ini file 
  51.       (located in your Windows directory).
  52.   2.  Locate the section "[P9100.drv]"
  53.   3.  Insert the line "MemAd=80" (do not include the double quotes).
  54.   4.  Your system is now set to the Memory Address Base of 80000000.
  55.   5.  To change the Memory Address Base, set MemAd= to the first two
  56.       characters of the Memory Base Address that you desire.
  57.  
  58.       ie. For example, the entry "MemAd=20" will set the Memory Base Address
  59.       to 2000000 the next time you enter Windows.

  80. 3.  Fixed hang problem when IRQ number in COPRO.INI matches with board IRQ.

  82. 4.  Fixed hang problem when playing AVI files in Media Player and InControl.
