  83.  IV.  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  84.       1. Format two 1.44 MB (High Density) blank diskette and
  85.          lable them disk1 and disk2. Insert disk1 into the A:
  86.          drive of your PC.
  87.  
  88.       2. If you have installed a previous version of this driver
  89.          you should go to the Lexmark Colorjetprinter 2050 folder
  90.          and run the uninstall program by double clicking on the
  91.          uninstall icon. and then restart Windows.
  92.

  94.       3. If you are running Windows 95, skip to step 5.  If you
  95.      are running Windows 3.1 or 3.11, click File, Run, and 
  96.      enter RUNME.BAT preceded by the directory that contains 
  97.      the driver file you just downloaded.  (Example: 
  98.          C:\CJ2050\RUNME.BAT).  When prompted remove disk1 and
  99.          insert disk2.  The complete driver and installation
  100.          program will be copied to the diskettes in your A: drive.

  102.       4. Windows 3.x:  Insert disk1 and Click FILE, RUN, and enter
  103.          a:\setup.  When prompted remove disk1 and insert disk2.
  104.          The driver files will be installed on your system. Enter
  105.          the appropriate printer port when prompted, then skip to
  106.          step 7.
  107.  
  108.          **note--If you have problems reading disk2 during install make a
  109.          temporary directory and execute the two .EXE files by typing
  110.          "CJ7000Dx temp -d" where temp is the name of the temp directory
  111.          and then run setup from the temp directory.

  114.       5. Windows 95: Insert the first disk and click START, RUN,
  115.          and enter RUNME.BAT preceded by the directory that contains
  116.          the driver file you just downloaded.  (Example:
  117.          C:\CJ2050\RUNME.BAT).  When prompted remove disk1 and insert
  118.          disk2.  The complete the driver and installation
  119.          program will be copied to the diskettes in your A: drive.

  121.       6. Windows 95:  Insert disk1 into A:, Click START, SETTINGS, PRINTERS,
  122.          and then double click on the ADD PRINTER icon.  In the printer wizard
  123.          click on NEXT, LOCAL PRINTER, NEXT, HAVE DISK.  Enter a: as the
  124.          manufactures files and click OK.  Then click on NEXT and select the
  125.          printer port, and choose NEXT.  Click on finish to begin coping files.
  126.          When propted remove disk1 and insert disk2 to coplete the instalation.
  127.          The driver files will be installed on your system.  Enter 
  128.      the appropriate printer port when prompted.

  130.       7. You should Restart Windows for the driver update to take
  131.      effect. After you have verified that the driver is 
  132.      installed and working properly, you may want to erase
  133.          the files that you originally down loaded - CJWN7MLE.EXE,
  134.          CJ7000D1.EXE, CJ7000D2.EXE, RUNME.BAT.

  136.       8. Click on the Readme icon in the Lexmark 7000 group
  137.          for more information on your printer.
