  8. NOTE: ProKalc is 32-bit software and is intended to be installed and
  9. run on Windows 95 or Windows NT.  ProKalc is not compatible with 
  10. earlier versions of the Windows operating system.  For Windows 3.11 
  11. and earlier, obtain a copy of ProKalc, the 16-bit version of this 
  12. calculator.

  14. This is the shareware version of ProKalc, the Scientific/Financial/
  15. Geometry calculator.  ProKalc is a Microsoft Windows 95 program and, 
  16. therefore, you must have Microsoft Windows 95 to use it.  This package
  17. should contain the following files.  If it does not, you do not have 
  18. the complete package and ProKalc may not function properly.  Before 
  19. installation the shareware version contains the following 7 files:

  21.      SETUP.EXE     -  The installation utility.
  22.      PROKALC.EXE   -  The program itself.
  23.      CALC.ELP      -  The help file for ProKalc.
  24.      FILE_ID.DIZ   -  A description file for online services.
  25.      REGSCAL.TXT   -  The registration form in NOTEPAD format.
  26.      SITESCAL.TXT  -  The site registration form in NOTEPAD format.
  27.      README.1ST    -  The file you are reading now.

  29. There are two ways to install ProKalc.  You can use Windows Explorer
  30. to show the files on the distribution diskette and 'double-click' on 
  31. the SETUP.EXE file or you can use the 'Run' menu item in the 'Start' 
  32. menu on Windows Taskbar.  For the second option, enter the path to the
  33. SETUP.EXE file in the dialog box in the 'Run' window.  For example, 
  34. entering

  38. would run the installation program if you were installing from the 
  39. "A-Drive". SETUP.EXE will copy the necessary files to your hard drive
  40. and, if you prefer, SETUP will also create the Startup group along 
  41. with the necessary icons to run ProKalc.

  43. Remember, ShareWare is software you can try before you buy.  You are 
  44. entitled to evaluate ProKalc for a period of sixty days from the time
  45. you first install it on your system.  If you try ProKalc and decide
  46. you like it, you are asked to pay the author the registration fee of 
  47. $15.00 + $1.50 shipping/handling. You will receive the latest version
  48. registered in your name.  The registered version does not have the 
  49. advertisement screens you see in the shareware version.
