  2. SocketWatch ver. 2.0:

  5. SocketWatch synchronizes the PC clock with the global time services.
  6.  
  7. The easiest and cheapest way to keep your PC clock accurate.
  8. Will not cost you toll or local call charges to your ISP, nor
  9. connect charges to internet.
  10.  
  11. A *MUST* for Timex Datalink users. You can now set your watch from
  12. your PC.
  13.  
  14. SocketWatch uses the integrated services of Windows 95 to connect to
  15. internet and to get your timezone and daylight savings time information,
  16. making it foolproof to set-up and use.
  17.  
  18. SocketWatch will sleep in the background until you connect to Internet,
  19. and will then set your clock. If you are already using Exchange or some
  20. other software to connect and get your mail periodically, SocketWatch
  21. will set the clock everytime you connect automatically, without costing
  22. you a call.
  23. Optionally, you can set SocketWatch to connect to Internet periodically
  24. (eg. once a day) if you wish.

  26. This program *requires* Windows 95 or Windows NT version 4.0 and up. 
  27. An Internet connection using the Dial-Up-Networking services or a 
  28. direct connection is also necessary.

  31. *** IMPORTANT NOTE TO UPGRADE FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION:

  33. First, exit SocketWatch.
  34. Through control panel Add/Remove Programs applet, first, remove (uninstall)
  35. SocketWatch, then proceed with installation instructions.
  36. After upgrading, or running the new version, you have to reenter your setup
  37. parameters for the new version to work properly.

  40. TO INSTALL:
  41. Unzip the contents to a temporary directory, then using the Explorer,
  42. right-click on swatch.inf (Setup Information File), and choose "Install"
  43. from the popup menu.

  45. When you run SocketWatch for the first time, it will bring up the setup
  46. dialog. Later, right click on the SocketWatch icon to open the setup dialog.
