  13. Thank you for trying Chess Tree!  Chess Tree is an exciting,
  14. innovative, new approach to chess study.  Select any node
  15. along a play tree, and instantly see the board position.  Study 
  16. standard openings, great chess matches, and more!  Import any
  17. SAN formatted text file to create your own libraries.  Setup a 
  18. board position and search for a match anywhere in the library.

  24. Chess Tree displays an explorer-type of tree.  Each node on the
  25. tree represents a different chess position.  This makes position
  26. study extremely intuitive and simple.

  29. Importing
  30. ---------
  31. Importing is one of the most powerful and unique features of 
  32. Chess Tree.  You can create libraries and exchange them with your
  33. friends, other chess clubs, etc.  You can import tournaments and 
  34. games that you've participated in or that you would like to study.  
  35. Insert comments for any of the games or moves.  The possibilities 
  36. are endless!

  39. Searching
  40. ---------
  41. The search module allows you to graphically setup a board position
  42. and then search for a match through any loaded library.  If a match
  43. is found, then that node becomes the active node and you can study
  44. the preceding moves and the variations that follow that position
  45. on the tree.

  50. Chess Tree comes with an extensive, commented "Standard Openings"
  51. library and a BONUS library containing the complete Fischer-Spassky 
  52. match of 1992.

  73. Install this program by running chestrxx.exe (where xx is the 
  74. version number) and follow the prompts.

  97. TO REGISTER
  98. -----------
  99. To register copies of Chess Tree, please use the "Register" 
  100. program usually provided with Chess Tree to make payments.  
  101. We use KAGI SHAREWARE registration service, which accepts different 
  102. payment methods, including credit card and invoices. You may also 
  103. mail your check or money order written in US currency only, directly 
  104. to the address below, payable to Daniel Shapiro.

  107.    Single licenses:    $35 each
  108.    Site license:       $700  (Site licenses cover a single organization 
  109.         for an area of up to one hundred miles (160 km) in radius.)
  110.    World-wide license: $2000

  113.    Each Library disk is $20 plus shipping and handling

  116. Chess Tree may be also registered using CompuServe SWREG forum 
  117. (GO SWREG). The Registration Id. is 15512. The price for single user 
  118. license at CompuServe is $37 due to the 15% charge they impose.
