  50. Advanced Disk Catalog (ADC) is an easy to use tool with
  51. explorer-like interface which allows you to catalog the drives:
  52. floppy disks, hard drives, optical disks, CD-ROMs, ZIP disks and
  53. other removable media.
  54.  
  55. With ADC you are able to:
  56.  
  57.     - Organize volumes, folders and files into categories;
  58.     - Add comment to each file, folder and disk;
  59.     - Search for files/folders using file name or your own
  60.           comments (with wildcards), limiting the search
  61.       results by date, size and category;
  62.     - Update volume information (with saving comments and
  63.       categories);
  64.     - Generate the reports;
  65.     - ... and more.

  67. ADC written totally in C++, doesn't use any database engines and
  68. so very fast. The database generated by ADC is very compact.

  71. Installation
  72. ------------

  74. We recommend your to uninstall the previous version of ADC (if
  75. you have one) from your computer befor installing this one. You
  76. can do this either by clicking "Uninstall Advanced Disk Catalog"
  77. icon in "Elcom Software" folder from the "Start" menu, or via
  78. "Add/Remove Programs" Control Panel applet; in uninstall
  79. program, select ADC components you wish to remove from your
  80. system (all) and click "OK". When you'll get the notification
  81. that ADC folder is not empty, be careful removing it: it may
  82. contain the .cat files (the databases created by ADC) you may
  83. wish to keep.

  85. To install ADC, just run the "setup.exe" and follow the
  86. instructions. The onliest thing you'll need to select is the
  87. target directory ("C:\Program Files\ADC" by default).

  261. The Advanced Disk Catalog is shareware. This means:

  263.   - All copyrights to ADC are exclusively owned by Elcom Ltd.
  264.  
  265.   - Anyone may use this software during a test period of 30
  266.     days. Following this test period of 30 days or less, if
  267.     you wish to continue to use ADC, you MUST register.
  268.  
  269.   - Once registered, the user is granted a non-exclusive license to 
  270.     use ADC on one computer (i.e. a single cpu), for any legal purpose, 
  271.     at a time.  The registered ADC software may not be rented or 
  272.     leased, but may be permanently transferred, if the person receiving 
  273.     it agrees to terms of this license.  If the software is an update, 
  274.     the transfer must include the update and all previous versions.

  276.   - The ADC unregistered shareware version may be freely distributed,
  277.     provided the distribution package is not modified. No person or
