  12. IconCapturer⌐ ver. 1.1 is an icon manipulation/management utility. Equipped with 
  13. this utility, you are capable of:
  14.  
  15. - capturing iconbitmaps from anywhere within your windows desktop.
  16. - scanning icons '.ico' and iconbitmaps '.icb' from your harddrive and resource 
  17.   files.
  18. - cataloguing icons and iconbitmaps in customizable archives.
  19. - grouped export/import of icons/iconbitmaps to different directories or 
  20.   archives.
  21. - manipulating resource files of type '.exe', '.dll' and '.icb', by icon-extraction
  22.   or bitmap-conversion.
  23. - iconbitmaps '.icb' files made exclusively by IconCapturer⌐ can be used as 
  24.   bitmaps in your other documents or manipulated by your graphic editors like 
  25.   paintbrush.

  27. IconCapturer⌐ has hypergraphic helpfile and a userfriendly interface, where you are 
  28. able to do much of the work by Point & Click and Drag & Drop techniques.
  29. Unregistered version of IconCapturer⌐ has some limits on functionality.

  32. 2. Installation notice
  33. ----------------------
  34. If you choose to upgrade to a registered version of IconCapturer⌐, take backup of
  35. "curicon.mdb" (this file is placed in your IconCapturer directory).
  36.  
  37. During installation of new registered version, this file will be replaced with a new 
  38. file with the same name. This will empty all ico/icb files from your IconCapturer's 
  39. custom archives. So, before upgrading your unregistered ver. to a registered ver.:
  40.  
  41. a) backup "curicon.mdb" or place it in another directory 
  42. b) start installation of registered ver. of IconCapturer
  43. c) when you are done with installation, restore or place back "curicon.mdb" to the 
  44.    same directory as IconCapturer
  45.  
  46. 3. Uninstall notice
  47. -------------------
  48. Delete the directory containing IconCapturer⌐ files.
  49. Delete "mvcur.dll" from your Windows system-directory.
  50.  
  51. 4. Undocumented error massages
  52. ------------------------------
  53. "Couldn't find PATH\curicon.mdb" 
  54. where PATH is a valid directory name on your harddrive.
  55.  
  56. Problem: you haven't defined or defined wrong directory as working-directory 
  57. for IconCapturer⌐. To solve the problem:
  58.  
  59. a) quit IconCapturer
  60. b) chose the icon associated with IconCapturer in your desktop
  61. c) from 'File' menu chose 'Properties'
  62. d) in the responding dialog type the valid path pointing to IconCapturer directory 
  63.    as working directory
  64.  
  65. "This icon has an invalid format"
  66.  
  67. Problem: the associated icon isn't a valid icon or can't be displayed by IconCapturer⌐.

  71. You can order a registered version of IconCapturer by filling "Ordering forms" in 
  72. the help file.

  76. Provided that you verify that you are distributing the UNREGISTERED SHAREWARE VERSION, 
  77. you are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the UNREGISTERED SHAREWARE VERSION of
  78. this software and documentation as you wish.

  80. Give exact copies of the original UNREGISTERED SHAREWARE VERSION to anyone and 
  81. distribute the UNREGISTERED SHAREWARE VERSION of the software and documentation in its 
  82. unmodified form via electronic means.
