  18.     This drawer contains a version of DrawStudio to use with
  19.     Amigas that have an FPU. To install this onto your hard drive,
  20.     simply drag the drawer to where ever you would like to install
  21.     it on your hard drive.

  26.     This drawer contains a version of DrawStudio to use on Amigas
  27.     without an FPU. To install this onto your hard drive,
  28.     simply drag the drawer to where ever you would like to install
  29.     it on your hard drive.

  33.     PLEASE NOTE: DrawStudio must be run from hard drive. When you fill
  34.     
  35.     in your registration number, the program needs to make a copy of it

  37.     and as it can't write to the CD, this will create an error. So, install

  39.     DrawStudio onto your hard drive before running it.

  45.     This drawer contains a version of ImageStudio to use on Amigas
  46.     with only a 68000 processor. To install this onto your hard disk,
  47.     simply drag the drawer to where ever you would like to install
  48.     it on your hard drive.

  53.     This drawer contains a version of ImageStudio to use on Amigas
  54.     with a 68020 or above processor. To install this onto your hard
  55.     disk, simply drag the drawer to where ever you would like to install
  56.     it on your hard drive.

  61.     There is only one drawer for this program. TextureStudio requires
  62.     an FPU and will not work on Amigas without one.

  64.     There is no printed manual for this application, but documentation
  65.     for it, can be found in the drawer called Docs (inside 
  66.     TextureStudio's directory).

  84.     In here are various drawers with example projects which show you
  85.     what DrawStudio is capable of. These examples can be used as the
  86.     basis for new projects of your own or simply as a guide to using
  87.     the program.

  89.     Also in this drawer is a directory called Gallery's. This contains
  90.     projects of commonly used icons or dingbats. These can be cut and
  91.     pasted between projects.

  93.     Each project (not Gallery's) also comes with an example IFF-ILBM
  94.     to show you the quality of files exported from DrawStudio.

  99.     This drawer contains many sub directories of textures that can be
  100.     used in DrawStudio.

  102.     Thanks to the compact disc's ability to hold many hundreds of 
  103.     megabytes of data, this drawer provides a ready made library
  104.     of materials to use with DrawStudio. 
  105.  
  106.     The textures come in a number of forms and resolutions. For example,
  107.     in the High Resolution drawer, are three other directories of large
  108.     textures, textures that are non-tileable (used to fill objects) and
  109.     textures that have had a paper curl effect applied to them.
  110.  
  111.     If at any time you want to get an overview of what is on the CD
  112.     in the way of images and textures, use your file manager to go to
  113.     the ThumbnailIndexes drawer on the CD and use a picture viewer 
  114.     to look at index screens of all the images.

  117.     the readme file in the Textures drawer.

  120.     Materials/Photographs
  121.     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  122.     This drawer contains other sub directories with royalty free
  123.     photographs that you are free to use in your images. These photographs
  124.     are copyright LH Publishing/AJDean and cannot be sold or distributed.

  126.     The different category of photos can be found in High-Res and
  127.     Medium-Res formats. Most images are JPGs.

  130.     Materials/PostScriptFonts
  131.     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  132.     In here, in alphabetical order, are fonts for use in DrawStudio. 
  133.     They do not need to be installed onto your hard drive, as DrawStudio
  134.     can use them from this CD. These fonts are shareware, and many of
  135.     them have readme files informing you that if the particular font
  136.     is used regularly, then a fee for continued use, is required.
  137.     
  138.     TIP: If you use the Fontmanager in DrawStudio to install
  139.     the fonts from the CD, and save those settings (by clicking
  140.     on Save (not Use), DrawStudio will ask you for the CD if it is not
  141.     in the CD drive when you go to use the program. This information
  142.     is saved in a file called FontList which is generated by
  143.     DrawStudio.

  146.     Materials/ClipArt
  147.     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  148.     In this directory are several drawers of clip art taken from 
  149.     the public domain, that can be loaded into DrawStudio and edited.

  151.     If you require other clip art, take a look at the samples from 
  152.     Artworks who produce commercial quality clip art. There are
  153.     also many CDs about with structured clip art.
  154.  
  155.     Any clip art that you want to use with DrawStudio, will have to be
  156.     converted to DR2D-IFF first. 
  157.  
  158.     If you have clip art in the ProDraw format, then you can use a 
  159.     freely distributable utility from Soft-Logik called Convert, that
  160.     will convert clip art in the ProDraw format to that of DR2D-IFF for
  161.     use in DrawStudio. ProPage users should also remember that EPS 
  162.     clip art from Illustrator 88 and Art Expression, can be converted
  163.     to the ProClip format in ProPage, sent to ProDraw to be saved to 
  164.     disk and then converted using Convert.

  166.     More filters for DrawStudio will be produced (where possible) by
  167.     the authors.

  170.     Materials/Artworks

  172.     In here are some samples from the designers of the DrawStudio logo,
  173.     ArtWorks. Artworks have a number of clip art packs in a format for
  174.     DrawStudio including images for Weddings, DTP Symbols and Christmas.

  179.     MUI DRAWER - Magic User Interface (Not Magic Workbench)
  180.     ~~~~~~~~~~
  181.     This contains MUI installed on the CD for those that may only use
  182.     MUI for DrawStudio or are short of space on their hard drive. Before
  183.     DrawStudio can use MUI, you must assign it and that is done by
  184.     double-clicking on the Assign-MUI icon inside MUI's drawer.

  186.     If you wish to install MUI onto your hard drive, open the Install_MUI
  187.     drawer and double click on the Install icon. MUI can be installed
  188.     on any partition as an assign is added to your User-Startup so
  189.     programs that use MUI, can find it.

  194.     ThumbnailIndexes

  196.     This drawer contains sub directories containing Thumbnail Index
  197.     screens of all the images on the CD. These can be loaded into an
  198.     application (like DrawStudio), and printed or you can view them
  199.     on-screen. Thumbnails make choosing a particular texture or picture
  200.     much easier.

  212.     Colour Lists
  213.     ------------
  214.     On this CD, are extra colour lists you can load into 
  215.     DrawStudio. Before you load a colour list, you are given the 
  216.     option of adding the new colours to existing colours or clearing
  217.     the current list which will be replaced by the new list you are 
  218.     loading.
  219.  
  220.     Many of the colour lists are fairly small lists which can be added
  221.     to the default list. For example, the Greys list contains a more
  222.     comprehensive list of greys which may be useful if you are
  223.     working on a greyscale image.

  225.     The extra colour lists can be found in the Storage drawer within
  226.     each DrawStudio directory.

  233.     DrawStudio Tip!
  234.     If you wish to clear all the colours to create your own, choose
  235.     Load and when asked "Clear existing Gradients", click on Yes to clear
  236.     all existing colours. Now click on cancel so a new list is not loaded.
  237.     You should now have an empty list in which to start creating your own     colours.

  245.     Gradient Lists
  246.     --------------
  247.     The gradient drawer in Storage (inside DrawStudio's directory),     contains some extra gradients that are ready made for you to use or
  248.     edit. Before you load a gradient list, you are given the option of
  249.     adding the new gradients to existing ones or clearing the current list
  250.     which will be replaced by the new
  251.     list you are loading.
