  4. Winpack is an PAK file unpacker for Quake (either registered or test version)
  5. which runs under Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows NT.
  6.  
  7. It shows a listing of all entries in the PAK file and allows extraction of
  8. single files or all files.  
  9.  
  10. Files stored in WAV format can be played straight from the PAK file without
  11. unpacking.
  12.  
  13. NEW:  It can now take a directory and build a PAK file from it's contents
  14.       including subdirectories.
  15.  
  16. Remember:-

  18. ALWAYS make a backup of your PAK files before messing around with them.
  19. Make sure you have enough disk space before unpacking the PAK file.

  25. Most people should find Winpack straight forward to use. To play a PAKed WAV
  26. file, either double-click on it or select it in the list and click on the
  27. play button.
