- ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. About TrashMan ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
-
- TrashMan is an OS/2 Presentation Manager game that puts you in the middle of
- the Green Movement. Your job as Sanitation Engineer is to clean up the area by
- putting all the trash piles in garbage cans.
-
- The playing area is divided into 'rooms'. The rooms may contain trash piles or
- garbage cans. You are the small figure with a push broom. You move your
- player around with the arrow keys.
-
- The trash piles must be swept around the screen until they are in a garbage
- can. When a trash pile is in a garbage can, the can bulges and a red check
- mark appears. The garbage cans are just big enough to hold one trash pile. You
- only have a push broom, so you can sweep the trash piles in one direction. To
- change directions, you must move around to the other side of the pile. Also,
- the trash piles are heavy-- you can only push one at a time. If you sweep
- across a full garbage can, its contents are pushed out of the can into the next
- spot.
-
- At any point, you may select 'Save Position' from the 'Game' menu, or press F9.
- This will save the current position. A tone will sound to indicate the
- position has been saved.
-
- Be careful-- you can 'sweep yourself into a corner', and arrive at a position
- that is impossible to finish. If you saved an earlier position, you may select
- 'Restore Position', or press F10. This will restore the previously saved
- position. Otherwise, you may restart the level.
-
- After you have successfully cleaned up all the trash in a level, you can
- advance to the next level. Each level increases in difficulty. After
- completing each level, you are shown the number of 'moves' it took to complete
- the level. Our personal best for level 1 is 238 moves.
-
- The current screen size, level number, sound options and background color are
- saved when you close this game.
-
- If you use TrashMan, you must register the program.

-
- If you enjoy playing TrashMan, we ask that you register the program. The file
- TRASHMAN.REG contains a simple form that you may print on your printer.
- Complete the form and send the registration fee to the address shown.
-
- As a registered user of TrashMan, you will be entitled to receive a free update
- to TrashMan. New game levels are currently being developed, so look for your
- free update to arrive in late summer/early fall of 1993. You will also be added
- to CoralSoft's mailing list to receive notification of the availability of new
- applications.
-
- The registration fee for TrashMan is $15.00. If you send $25.00, you will
- receive a FREE copy of TrashBall, the new OS/2 PM game currently under
- development. This game combines the intellectual challenge of classic
- TrashMan, with a new dimension-- you must roll balls to overcome new hazards,
- such as toxic-waste streams, nuclear-plant mutants, and more! Note that
- TrashBall will continue in the style of TrashMan, that is it is NOT AN ARCADE
- GAME. Our games are designed to test your brain, not the speed of your
- fingers!
-
- OS/2-specific games and diversions are few and far between, and your
- registration will help continue the development of new games. Please help
- support continued development by registering today!
-
