- *Although you can select different looking characters when
- you create a new golfer, all golfers will use the Jack
- Nicklaus character in this demo version.
-
-
- *Too many applications running in the background, especially
- RAM or processor intensive applications like RealAudio, can
- affect the swing meter. We recommend you play without launching
- these applications.
-
-
- *If you wish to play the JN6 demo in 800 X 600 windowed mode then you need to change your
- desktop resolution setting to 1024 X 768. If you wish to play the JN6 demo in 1024 X 768
- windowed mode then you need to change your desktop resolution setting to 1152 X 864.
-
-
- *Animated water is an preference that is defaulted to off.
- Turning this preference on may affect your game's performance.
- We suggest you try it on your PC. Go to the Preferences
- dialog, and look in the Display tab for the Animate Water option.
-
-
- *The demo version only includes the Jack Nicklaus character
- that you can play as or against. The full version includes
- eight other characters.
-
-
- *Network play is disabled in this demo version.
-
-
- *Known bug -- if the player changes to "Partial Swing Meter" or "Putting Stroke Meter" at
- inappropriate times, the club animation may be incorrect (for example, a putter may appear
- when the player actually is using an iron). To correct this problem, select the proper
- swing meter for your current shot by clicking on the "Shot Options" and selecting either
- the "Full", "Partial" or "Putting" meters.
-
-
- *Jack Tips -- If you click on "Jack Tips", you will hear advice from the Golden Bear
- himself. When the "Jack Tips" box appears, there is a button you can click to "Show
- All Tips". Because of space reasons, all of these tips are not accessible, although
- they all show up on the "Show All Tips" list. You will not be able to hear the "Jack Tips"
- that have been removed.
-
-
- *Show Hole Closeup on Putts is an option that is defaulted to
- on in the General tab of the Preferences dialog box. If a long
- putt gets close to the hole, the camera will "zoom in" on its
- approach. You can set this option on or off here.
-
-
- *When playing with the MouseMeter, we recommend that you play
- full screen or minimize all background applications if playing
- in windowed mode. Some "unfriendly" background apps may try
- to grab control of your mouse cursor if you enter their window,
- even if the window is in the background.
