  14. Introduction

  16. NISClock is a small clock program that uses a minimum amount of CPU time
  17. since it only updates the clock every minute (or every second if you
  18. wish).
  19.  
  20. It can make use of Stephan Becker's screennotify.library which patches a
  21. few intuition.library functions so that the clock will automatically close
  22. its window if the Public screen that it inhabits is closed by another
  23. program.  If NISClock is on the Workbench screen, it will be notified of
  24. the close and opening of the Workbench screen by IPrefs for a preferences
  25. change or by any other program which calls CloseWorkbench().  The window
  26. will then not open until OpenWorkbench() is called.

  28. The tooltypes can be used to customize the position, and look of the
  29. NISClock window to a certain extent.  Other features include optional
  30. seconds, 24-hour mode, three output formats for the date, and user-
  31. definable date and time text.  A single mouse click will cause the date to
  32. be displayed, or both the date and the time can be displayed at the same
  33. time.
