  8.  
  9.   Highly configurable launching tool for almost any purpose. But
  10.   it is not yet another program like toolsdeamon or launchingpad.
  11.   Selector serves as a complement to these types of programs. It's
  12.   more like a script language.
  13.  
  14.   Selector is a powerful tool to use within shell scripts or to
  15.   make a little GUI for your CLI type program. I have for example
  16.   made a GUI for GMPlay (gmplay_gui13.lha on Aminet) using selector.
  17.   
  18.   It is really easy to produce a button panel, info window  or a little
  19.   requester with selector.

  22.  Requirements
  23.  
  24.  Selector works with AmigaDos 1.3, but AmigaDos 3.0+ is recomended.
  25.  The included examples won't work with 1.3.

  28.  What's new in Selector 4.30 (960804)
  29.     
  30.    The documentations for version 4.2 and 4.3 was lost in my second
  31.    HardDisk death. I have now (970101) updated the amigaguide document
  32.    with all the changes (from 4.14 to 4.30) that I have found.
  33.    
  34.    -New commands: OnChange, NoBorder, Version, Screen and Palette.
  35.    
  36.    -The color background commands were extended.
  37.    
  38.    -The update of the window is made much faster if the window
  39.     parameters not are changed (Size, title etc.).
  40.    
  41.    -Some more examples and a new "All Examples" script
  42.     were added to the amigaguide document.

  47.   Selector is Copyrighted (C) 1996 by Anders Persson, but you can
  48.   distribute it with your freeware software as long as you also include
  49.   the documents and all other related files. (Preferably in an lzx
  50.   archive in your own software arcive. Name this archive something
  51.   like "SelectorDocs.lzx". The related files takes only about 20 Kb
  52.   packed with lzx.)

  54.   You can also include selector with any shareware or commercial
  55.   software, as long as you send me a registred version of your
  56.   product. After that you don't need to include all the related files,
  57.   but only the ones that you require for your product.
