  9. FasterDataTypes 1.0 will cat all descriptor files in Your
  10. SYS:Devs/DataTypes drawer into one file (called AllTypes).
  11. This will lead into a faster execution of the C:AddDataTypes command wich
  12. is usally executed in the S:Startup-Sequence in the result Your machine
  13. will boot a little bit faster.
  14. FasterDataTypes will not delete anything on Your HD, all descriptor files
  15. will be moved to SYS:Storage/DataTypes.

  17. Requirements

  19. Iffar - included in this package.
  20. Amiga OS3.0 - as a requirement for DataTypes
  21. some DataTypes installed
  22. a SYS:Storage/DataTypes drawer

  24. Installation
  25. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
  26. Drag it wherever you want.
  27. But don't forget to put also iffar in the directory (or somewhere else
  28. in the search path).

  31. Usage
  32. ~~~~~
  33. Start it and press the Install/Update button.
  34. If You have installed new descriptor files start it again.
  35. If You want to remove a descriptor, go to Your SYS:Storage/DataTypes
  36. drawer and remove the descriptor(s) then start FasterDataTypes again.

  39. ~~~~~~~~~
  40. what it does:
  41. 1.FDT moves all files except AllTypes#? from Sys:Devs/DataTypes to
  42. Sys:Storage/DataTypes.
  43. 2.Delete all files left in Sys:Devs/DataTypes.
  44. 3.Cat all descriptor files in Sys:Storage/DataTypes to 
  45. Sys:Devs/DataTypes/AllTypes, copy SYS:Storage/DataTypes/8SVX.info 
  46. to SYS:Devs/DataTypes/AllTypes.info to have a icon.
