  11. This is Repack version 3.5b, a bugfix of version 3.5.
  12.  
  13. New in version 3.5b:
  14. - fixed broken code that prevented correct use with multi-archives. Now it
  15. work as it should.
  16. - fixed Tar-gzipped extraction and managment.
  17.  
  18. Repack stands for: Recursive Enhanced Pratical Archive Conversion Kit.
  19. It's an Arexx script that converts entire directories of archives of various
  20. formats to LZX.
  21. It's better than any other similar LZX repacker because:
  22. - all the operating parameters can be chosen through Reqtools requesters or on
  23.   the command line.
  24. - it repacks archives RECURSIVELY! This comes very useful if you need to
  25.   convert those distribution made of many .lha files archived together.
  26. - can handle most of the used archivers|packers: Lha, Arc, Zoo, Pak, Zip, Arj,
  27.   Rar, Xarc, Hpack, Gzip, Tar, Tar-gzipped.
  28. - works either on single files or entire directories.
  29. - is SAFE! If anything goes wrong while repacking, no harm will be done to the
  30.   original files.
  31. - includes a special option, called 'BBS mode' made especially for BBS like
  32.   DLG-pro or C-Net; if this mode is enabled, Repack will copy the original
  33.   comment and datestamp of the old archive to the new .LZX .
  34. - there's also a one-shot single-file version useful for C-Net systems.
  35. - works even with nasty file and directories names that includes spaces.
  36. - can recurse through sub-directories.
  37. - has an add-and-omit files option (to get rid of or add #?.displayme kind of
  38.   files - see doc!).
  39. - can take advantage of the registered version of LZX.
  40. - has a log file.
