  11. AsciiArt Pro, Unlike previous releases, is more than just a converter,
  12. its an Art package!
  13.  
  14. It will let you draw with ascii! No more moving the curser about, putting
  15. it on insert mode and typing, now you can just use the mouse and draw
  16. like in a painting package.

  18. to use it is very simple - you just use the keyboard, or the supplied
  19. buttons to choose an ascii caracter, and then, take your mouse and
  20. draw! NO curser, NO typing, NO problem!

  24. Now you can actualy pickup a section of you picture and use it as a
  25. brush like in a painting package! It now has IFF convetion built in too!

  82.            * * Usage * *

  84. 1. Simple drawing  : To paint a picture with ascii, first select the
  85.     charecter you want, using the buttons, or by typing it on the
  86.     keyboard, and then 'paint' them on to the main screen using
  87.     the mouse. The right mouse button erases bits of the picture.
  88.  
  89. 2. Brushes         : To use a brush, first goto the brush menu,
  90.     then select 'pickup'. then using the mouse, highlight a section
  91.     of the picture, and then you can paste it anywhere.
  92.     Again, the right mouse button uses the brush to erase parts
  93.     of the picture.

  95. 3. Picture converts: To convert a picture into ascii, go into the
  96.    IFF menu, and then click on 'load iff'. Then click on render.
  97.    After that, you can try adjusting the size, contrast and
  98.    brightness of the output, and using the buttons, you can
  99.    turn off 'exotic' charecters so that eg. web browsers don't
  100.    have trouble displaying them.

  110.     During School terms I will not be able to answer EMails until
  111.     the weekends because I go to a boarding school, so don't wory
  112.     if you don't get a reply quickly!

  116.     At the moment, I have two game (SpodLand and SpodRacer) and 3
  117.     utilities (SerPaint, asciiart(beta) and this!) on Aminet,
  118.     and am currently working on a Secret of Mana style RPG.

  123. Trouble Shooting:
  124.     I haven't had any problems with it, but if there are, EMail
  125.     them to me. If the error requester won't go away, press
  126.     Ctrl-C and start it again.

  128.     Here are a few that people have had :
  129.  
  130.     The Laced bug: If the laced screenmode looks squashed,
  131.         and doesn't look laced, then you have the strange
  132.         Laced problem, and I don't think its fixable.
  133.  
  134.     The crash bug: On some Amigas AsciiArt Pro crashed alot,
  135.         so if you copy crashes/lockes up, then EMail me
  136.         your config. I've fixed it for most systems,
  137.         but it might still be there.
