  13. This installer requires the ORIGINAL disks from Shadow Of The Beast 3 (there are 2).
  14. It should NOT work for cracked versions, but if the files are ripped the same way I
  15. did on the original, it could.
  16.  
  17. The HD-Patched game will need about 3Mb of memory.
  18. It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
  19. Report me any bugs you'll find.
  20.  
  21. Note: I created and tested this package with a A1200/060/50 16Mb, so there should
  22. be no problems for all 680x0 CPUs (caches,chipset...). It degrades display properly
  23. so Multiscan users won't have any sprite or screen problem.

  25. INSTALLING THE GAME:
  26.  
  27. Just run the installer script.
  28.  
  29. When the disks are copied during installation, the pointer freezes. That's
  30. normal cause the game uses a custom trackload routine (copy-protection), and
  31. it does not easily multitask.
  32.  
  33. To abort installation during the custom disk loading, just press the left mouse
  34. button.
  35.  
  36. The installer also checks that you inserted the correct disk. In case of problem
  37. during the installation, you can partially re-install the game by hand using
  38. the rippsyfiles command.
  39.  
  40. After that you just have to adjust the tooltypes and start the game by clicking on
  41. the SOTB3HD icon or by typing SOTB3HD <options> in a shell.
  42.  
  43. OPTIONS:
  44.  
  45. I don't repeat them in every doc file I join to one of my installers. Read the doc
  46. I wrote to know the details. You'll find it on my http patch page.
  47.  
  48. PAL: Forces the game tu run PAL mode. Useful when you have a NTSC amiga, useless otherwise,
  49. because the loader switches in 15KHz anyway.
  50. NTSC:Same thing for NTSC.
  51. QUIET: displays nothing and opens no window. No error messages, and no author message.
  52. DEBUG: useful only for bug reports. Makes a memory image on exit.
  53. LEAVEVBR: useful only for debugging purposes, and with a debugger such as Action-Replay,
  54.           HRTMon or ThrillKill. Don't select it unless you want to debug.
  55. NOCACHES: useful if you get unexplained crashes. The game will disable all caches at startup.

  59. - Full HD Install of the game, using real files instead of diskfiles.
  60. - Full use of fast memory and full memory control
  61. - Original trainer keys activated (<- ->). Thanx to Abaddon for the cheat.
  62. - F5 key allows you to quit the game (during the gameplay, not in the menu)

  84. for 680x0 or write HD-Installers (NO WAY FOR CRACKED VERSIONS).

  95. This patch can be distributed freely, but I'd appreciate that you drop me a line
  96. if you include it in a coverdisk or PD collection.

  98. However, FFD (France Festival Distribution) is not allowed to include it in any
  99. of its PD disks (if you read usenet in fr.comp.sys.amiga, you'll know why).
  100. It's the only exception for the distribution.
