  10. This installer requires the 3 Desert Strike disks.
  11.  
  12. The HD-Patched game will need about 4Mb of memory.
  13.  
  14. Features:

  16. - Full HD loading using cached disk images in memory.
  17. - Installer script to install the game easily
  18. - HELP key quits (only during the game sequence)
  19. - Removed some in-game memory allocation so the quit option is totally clean.
  20. - Right Shift is now equivalent to left Shift (my left shift is dead),
  21.   useful to give up a game with SHIFT+ESC combination
  22.  
  23. It should work for ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
  24. The game was also patched for NTSC users.
  25. Report me any bugs you'll find.

  27. Note: I created and tested this package with a A1200/060/50 16Mb, so there should
  28. be no problems for all 680x0 CPUs (caches,chipset...). It degrades display properly
  29. so Multiscan users won't have any sprite or screen problem.

  31. You can install the different disks from DF1:, DF2: or DF3: instead of DF0: by
  32. changing the unit in the installer script:

  34. (set #CI_Unit 2) for DF2:

  36. I know some people have their DF0: dead :-)

  38. If you find some bugs, or the game crashes, please e-mail me (specify your
  39. configuration).
  40. I'm also looking for people who could send me original disks for me to patch them
  41. for 680x0 or write HD-Installers (NOT FOR CRACKED VERSIONS).

  51. This patch can be distributed freely, but I'd appreciate that you drop me a line
  52. if you include it in a coverdisk or PD collection.

  54. However, FFD (France Festival Distribution) is not allowed to include it in any
  55. of its PD disks (if you read usenet in fr.comp.sys.amiga, you'll know why).
  56. It's the only exception for the distribution.
