  4. @4 On Thursday, the 18th of July, 1996 the final
  5. contract of purchase was signed between the bankruptcy trustee solicitor
  6. Bernhard Hembach and the president and CEO of VISCorp, William Buck, with
  7. approval of the 'pool of banks' for the entire remaining inventory and
  8. intellectual property.

  10. Until 18th of August 1996 VISCorp has time now to establish the necessary
  11. companies to carry on with its current business. In the meantime, the
  12. business will be run with the approval of the bankruptcy trustee Hembach
  13. under the name AMIGA Technologies GmbH i.K.
  14.  
  15. From the 19th of August, 1996 the business will finally be run under the
  16. name, control and ownership of VISCorp.

  24. Update, late Dec 96:

  26. Rumours are rife that Viscorp do not have the required capital to carry
  27. through the deal and are pulling out. A number of personnel have resigned
  28. from Viscorp over the handling of the Amiga deal.

  30. A Canadian company called QuickPack are rumoured to be preparing a bid
  31. for Amiga Technologies.
