  6. This program simply gets some information on PCMCIA modems and then
  7. saves it to a file.
  8.  
  9. The reason I've written this program is so that I can get information
  10. on as many different PCMCIA modems as possible for some research I'm
  11. currently doing. As this is the case I'd very much appreciate it, if
  12. you have a a600 or a1200 and a pcmcia modem handy, if you could email
  13. me the two files which are produced by this program, pcmcia.attr and
  14. pcmcia.desc along with as much information on the modem you used as
  15. possible, including the manufacturer, model details and speed
  16.  
  17. By the way, when I say a PCMCIA modem, I don't mean a modem plugged
  18. into a Surf Squirrel, I mean a modem which plugs directly into the
  19. PCMCIA port.

  21. Using ModemTest

  23. ModemTest is only runnable from a shell, when it's run it writes two
  24. files to the current directory, they're called pcmcia.desc and
  25. pcmcia.attr, some information is also printed to the screen, it may
  26. or may not make sense to most people ;)
