  15. This patch file will update the Compact Disks English language
  16. version of OctaMED Soundstudio V1.00 to V1.03c
  17.  
  18. This upgrade now includes:

  21.     After many requests, the save as Protracker format is now back!
  22.     New feature: ADVVoice + RMB in note editor -> play line
  23.     Melody MPEG support
  24.     Non-Planar Display option (a kludge to run Tracker Editor on Gfx cards)
  25.     Play Display in sample editor doesn't try to alloc audio
  26.     channels when not required.
  27.     Fixes AIFF sample saving, (hopefully) fixes Slave mode
  28.     Fixes to All Cmd Pages
  29.     Fixes to sample editor pointer (all display modes)
  30.     Fixed Memory leak in ReadMMDsong
  31.     Fixed Loop flag when loading MED 2.1-3 sng+samples format
  32.     OctaMED could sometimes crash after loading a module (only if the Save
  33.     window had been opened before that). now fixed.
  34.     Use Mixing (MMD) option (Misc. Opts) didn't always work correctly,
  35.     should now be fixed.
  36.     All Cmd Pages didn't work in Block and Track menus, fixed.
  37.     Sample editor pointer (in non-mixing mode) might have had wrong speed
  38.     in some screen modes, should be fixed.
  39.     A new feature in the Notation Editor: When Advance with Voice is set in
  40.     Keyboard Options, right-mouse clicking a line in notation editor plays
  41.     all the notes on that horizontal position (tracker line).
  42.     Some other minor corrections, some strings changed to be more user-
  43.     friendly, etc.

  55. Instructions
  56. ============
  57. To use the patch, copy the OctaMED executable file from
  58. the CD (or Floppy) to a hard disk or a floppy.
  59.  
  60. To make things easier, temporarily rename the executable
  61. file to just OctaMED.
  62.  
  63. Then copy the file of your choice (CD or Floppy) along with the
  64. spatch program to the same directory as the renamed file (OctaMED).
  65.  
  66. From the Shell prompt, cd to that directory and type:
  67.  
  68.                      spatch -pCD-Eng.pch OctaMED
  69.  
  70. The patch will be applied, and after it's complete, you can do
  71. the following steps:
  72.  
  73.                  * delete CD-English.pch
  74.                  * delete the old renamed file called OctaMED
  75.                  * rename OctaMED_Soundstudio
  76.  
  77. Now you have V1.03c of the executable file.
  78.  
  79. The good news is that this patch will also run on your hard drive
  80. without the need to have your CD-ROM or floppy in the drive!!!!

  85. Please remember that if you do run the prog from the hard drive
  86. that you should edit your Soundstudio.config file to look for
  87. the paths on your hard drive instead of the CD-ROM
  88.  
  89. For instance: IF using the CD and you place the prog into a drawer
  90. named OctaMED on your sys: (or DH1: etc), you will need to
  91. edit the following lines in the config...
