Tesco has developed a pilot Web site to let busy people in a trial area with an Internet account buy any of its 20,000 products online. Products cost the same as in
the store and are delivered the following day. The pilot scheme is currently only available to people living in Ealing, London but will be extended if successful. This scheme and others use Microsoftís Merchant Server software technology to provide secur
e shop services online. Other retailers are following suit: Shoppers Universe, Jaguar Cars, AIB and Cotton Oxford have all created Internet shops using the technology. \par
