  5. This "README" file contains up-to-the-minute
  6. information about the program that may not be
  7. available in the online Help.

  13. TOPIC 1:  REMOVING MDR 2.0
  14.  
  15. Once you have installed Medical Drug Reference
  16. 3.0, you should delete any previous versions of
  17. Medical Drug Reference from your hard drive.
  18. If you are deleting a Deluxe version of Medical
  19. Drug Reference 2.0 and wish to save your personal
  20. lists that are stored in the program directory, 
  21. copy the files to another directory before
  22. deleting the program files for Version 2.0.
  23.  
  24. NOTE: Installing Medical Drug Reference 3.0 will
  25. not overwrite previous versions UNLESS YOU INSTALL
  26. THE CURRENT VERSION TO THE SAME DIRECTORY AS YOUR
  27. PREVIOUS VERSION.

  29. TOPIC 2: DISPLAY PROBLEMS
  30.  
  31. If for some reason, the program does not seem to
  32. display properly when you start the program, and
  33. are running Viper Pro card, you may want to call
  34. Diamond Tech Support for an updated Driver.  The
  35. problem can also be taken care of by switching to
  36. a Windows driver in standard VGA mode. This is a
  37. generic display driver that comes with all versions
  38. of the Windows operating system and many times
  39. corrects any display device problems you may have.

  42. TOPIC 3: RUNNING MEDICAL DRUG REFERENCE UNDER
  43.          OS/2 WARP
  44.   
  45. If you are running MDR 3.0 under OS/2 Warp and
  46. receive the error message, "Unable to start
  47. program.  Not enough memory and/or free
  48. resources"  follow these steps:
  49.  
  50. 1. With your mouse, click the right button
  51.    (Button 2) on the Medical Drug Reference
  52.    icon. On the popup menu that appears,
  53.    select "Settings".
  54. 2. From "Settings" select the "Session" tab.  
  55.    On this tab, mark the "Separate session"
  56.    checkbox under the section "WIN-OS/2
  57.    window"
  58. 3. Click on the "WIN-OS/2 Settings..." button.
  59.    Select "All DOS and WIN-OS/2 Settings" 
  60.    radio button, then click "OK".
  61. 4. On the window that pops up, mark the "3.1
  62.    Enhanced Capability" radio button 
  63.    in the upper right hand corner then click
  64.    "Save".
  65. 5. Close the "Settings" window.  For additional 
  66.    information, you should consult the online 
  67.    help in OS/2 Warp for running Windows 3.1
  68.    applications and for changing WIN-OS/2 Settings.

  70. OTHER VERSIONS OF OS/2
  71.  
  72. Medical Drug Reference 3.0 will run under versions
  73. of OS/2 that support Windows 386 Enhanced mode.
  74. Please consult your OS/2 online help or contact IBM
  75. if you are having trouble running Medical Drug
  76. Reference on your system.
