- Do you stay up late?
- Ever enter a state of mind where your kinda nocturnal, kinda lazy?
- 3 Week old pizz, err pizza starts to smell good? All you want to do
- is collect demos? Hmm, you might be a .... Toxic Zombie! What the
- hell is a Toxic Zombie? Well, this demo group is a formation of
- zombies entwined by the techno-tronic highway otherwise known as the
- Internet. This is our first release, so sit back, have a few
- brewskies, and enjoy. We may seem like tenderfeet in the demo arena,
- but keep an eye out for us because soon we'll be seasoned veterans.

- This Intro is a homage to Amigas, Amiga users, and Amiga coders...
- Amiga is a damn good machine, and 68000 is far easier than 80x86...
- But PCs are our computers, and INTEL is our god :-) so if we want to
- be crazy and use PCs to code demos...
-
- Technical informations :
-
- - Code : 100% assembly (in France we call that 'mental masturbation').
- - Music system : Otto Chrons' DSMI (we're not totally crazy)
- Autodetect SB, SB-PRO, SB16, PAS, PAS+, PAS16.
- - Video mode : Mode Y (320 x 200 x 256 whith 4 screen pages).
- - Stretching effect : use vga's hardware capabilities (like in Copper).
- - Unpacker routine : is a Lempel-Ziv-Arithmetic algorithm.
- - 386 : both music system and unpacker routine use 386 specific
- instructions...so the intro requires at least a 386 SX :-(
- If this is a problem for you, contact us!
- We have a 8086 version of the unpacker routine, which is much
- slower than this one...but DSMI won't run without at least a
- 386...If this is a problem for you contact Otto Chrons!
- - Requires : The fastest computer you can find, the best sound card
- (oops no GUS yet :-(), and 432 Ko of memory.
-
- Key informations :
-
- - 'F' : Freeze/unFreeze the screen (could be usefull if you want to
- take photos of the intro :-))
- - 'T' : Display the time used by the player (DSMI) you'll need a 'slow'
- computer to see it (a 386 20 or 33 Mhz)
- - 'ESC' : Go to the next part...
-
- All the other keys are disabled...no hidden key in this intro :-)
-
- Time information :
-
- The scroll text is 22 minutes long, and there are greets everywhere...

- We hope you'll enjoy the show. Don't hesitate to contact us : a nice
- postcard with a nice stamp from your country would be appreciated
- (This is the first Cardware intro :-))
-
- Toxic Zombies,
- released May 10 1993.
- V1.2--now 100% PAS16 and SB16 compatible
