  1.                   ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SOUND BLASTER

  3. SET SOUND ENVIRONMENT
  4. =====================
  5. To  help certain Sound Blaster software, such as VOXKIT and FMORGAN,  to
  6. locate their driver, enter following line at DOS prompt:
  7.  
  8.   (assuming that your Sound Blaster software is installed in Drive C:)
  9.  
  10.      SET  SOUND=C:\SB
  11.  
  12. If your Sound Blaster software is installed in other drive, just  change
  13. "C:" in the line to other drive name.
  14.  
  15. You may add above line in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
  16.  
  17. Refer  to  your  DOS  manual for more information  on  using  the  "SET"
  18. command.

  22. PLAYCMF.EXE
  23. ===========
  24. PLAYCMF.EXE is a FM music player program that plays .CMF music files.
  25.  
  26. Before running PLAYCMF.EXE, you must first load Sound Blaster's FM Music
  27. Driver - SBFMDRV.COM.
  28.  
  29. SBFMDRV.COM is a memory resident driver that is found in the root directory
  30. of the FM Intelligent Organ Disk. It is copied to the \SB sub-directory.

  32. Usage:
  33.           PLAYCMF music-filename  [/Q] [/S="command-line"]
  34.           Where:
  35.                  "music-file" is the .CMF file to play
  36.                  /Q :    set quiet mode
  37.                  /S :    execute the DOS command-line specified.
  38.  
  39. You may play a music in the background and use the "/S=" paramter
  40. to "Shell" to execute another program.
  41.  
  42. We enclosed some .CMF songs for you as samplers. Watch out for more .CMF
  43. songs, Sing-Alongs and other applications that are coming on the way.

  47. CUSTOMIZING PARROT - Creating PARROT Pictures
  48. =============================================
  49. The PARROT.EXE program works in the EGA 320x200x16 colors mode.
  50. You need to create 4 .PCX pictures files as follows:

  52.        PARROT.E0   -  Parrot with mouth closed
  53.        PARROT.E1   -  Parrot with mouth openned
  54.        PARROT.E2   -  Parrot with mouth wide openned
  55.        PARROT.E3   -  Parrot with eyes cloded

  57. You may use any PCX paint program, but ENSURE that it is set to the
  58. EGA 320x200x16 colors mode or select this EGA mode driver even if you
  59. are using a VGA card.
