  1. Welcome to Multisoft's BENCHPCK Benchmarking Program.

  3. This benchmark program runs twice.  The first time, it gathers
  4. data about how fast your system accesses the disk without Super
  5. PC-Kwik installed and stores that data as a control.  Then it
  6. installs Super PC-Kwik and runs again.  If a control has already
  7. been stored for this disk drive, BENCHPCK skips that part of the
  8. test.
  9.  
  10. Running without Super PC-Kwik can take from 30 seconds to 30
  11. minutes, depending on what computer and drive you are testing and 
  12. the file size you choose.  Running with Super PC-Kwik should take
  13. considerably less time.

  15. The program defaults to running the benchmark on drive C.  To run
  16. on any other drive, exit to DOS and enter RUNBENCH d:, where d:
  17. is the drive to test.  To create a new set of controls, delete
  18. the file BENCHPCK.DTA.  If you have another disk-cache program
  19. installed, remove it from memory before running RUNBENCH.
