  15. The Data Manager Installation program creates a working copy of Data Manager
  16. on your hard drive or onto floppy disks.
  17.  
  18. If you are installing onto floppies for the first time, you should already
  19. have formatted two disks labeled PROGRAM and DATA.

  22. This Installation program will save the sample data files onto your DM
  23. DATA disk, if you are installing onto floppies. Otherwise, the sample data
  24. will be found in sub-directory \DM\DATA\.

  26. One of the sample data files is called README. README contains additional
  27. information about Data Manager.

  29. Before proceeding, please read the section in your manual pertaining to
  30. installation.

  32. The Installation program will take files from the Timeworks disks in the
  33. SOURCE drive and transfer them onto your working copies of DM in the TARGET 
  34. drive.

  36. Hard drive systems: Your hard drive should be the TARGET drive.

  38. Single floppy drive systems: The SOURCE and TARGET drive should be A. 
  39.  
  40. Double floppy drive systems: The SOURCE drive should be A and the TARGET
  41. drive should be B. When you run Data Manager, the program disk should be
  42. placed in Drive A with the DATA disk in Drive B.

  44. If you are going to install DM onto a hard drive, highlight Hard. If you
  45. are installing onto floppy disks, highlight Floppy. When you have made your 
  46. selection, press the F10 key.

  48. If you are installing onto floppies, this Installation program will save
  49. sample data files onto your DM DATA disk. Otherwise, the sample data will
  50. be found in a sub-directory \DM\DATA\.

  52. 1. Select Install Data Manager and press F10.

  54. 2. Select Install Printer and press F10.

  56. 3. When you have finished installing Data Manager and your printer, select
  57.    Exit to DOS and press F10.

  59. A list of printers will be displayed on the screen. Use the up
  60. and down arrow keys to highlight your printer or a printer compatible
  61. with yours. If your printer or a compatible printer is not listed,
  62. highlight Generic.

  64. After you make a selection, press the F10 key.

  66. A list of display card configurations will be displayed on the screen. Use
  67. the up and down arrow keys to highlight your systems display configuration
  68. and press F10.
