  16. Welcome to the world of 3.0. In this release of BatchWorks(TM)
  17. features have been added to allow you to take advantage of
  18. new features available in the Microsoft(R) Windows(TM) 3.0
  19. environment.

  21. First, all BatchWorks commands are fully compatible with
  22. Windows 3.0.  For BatchWorks 1.01 users, no change in
  23. existing PTB files will be necessary.
  24.  
  25. Second, a library of icons has been incorporated into the
  26. BATCH.EXE file.  This library of icons can be installed by
  27. the Program Manager of Windows 3.0 in Application Group
  28. windows.  This allows you to associate an icon with any .PTB
  29. file you create.  There are two ways to do this:
  30.  
  31.        1)  Drag the {filename}.PTB file to the appropriate
  32.            Application Group window in the Program Manager and
  33.            then select the icon of the file you just copied to
  34.            the Application window.  Now select the Properties...
  35.            option of the Program Manager's File menu.  You
  36.            should now have a dialog box on your screen with
  37.            The title: "Program Item Properties".  To change
  38.            the icon, select the CHANGE ICON option.  Now,
  39.            type in the full path of the BATCH.EXE program
  40.            and select the "View Next" option to browse through
  41.            all of the available icons.  When you find one 
  42.            you like, just say "OK" and that icon will be used
  43.            to represent your batch file.

  45.        2)  Drag the BATCH.EXE executable file to an Application
  46.            Group window and then select the BATCH.EXE icon you 
  47.            just copied to the Application window.  Now select 
  48.            the Properties... option of the Program Manager's 
  49.            File menu.  You should now have a dialog box on your
  50.            screen with The title: "Program Item Properties".
  51.            Now add the {filename}.PTB file you wish BatchWorks
  52.            to run as a paramater on the Command Line after the
  53.            BATCH.EXE filename.  Then use the CHANGE ICON option
  54.            and select "View Next" to browse through all of the
  55.            available icons.  When you find one you like, just 
  56.            say "OK" and that icon will be used to represent 
  57.            your batch file.

  61. of batch files that are contributed by users.  This library will
