  1. Description of files found in .../NetBSD-1.3/amiga/binary/sets:

  3. This directory contains the gzip compressed tar files of the binary
  4. distribution. The contents of these files are described fully in the
  5. INSTALL document. Note that you may use the unsplit versions in your
  6. installation with the supplied tools if you wish.

  8. The Split/ directory contains split versions of these same files.
  9. These are provided to permit installation from floppy disks for those
  10. with no other means of installation.  See INSTALL for details. Note
  11. that this method of installation is extremely laborious and not
  12. recommended if any other alternative exists.

  14. Note that the binary distribution of security related software is
  15. contained elsewhere in a parallel directory on those distribution
  16. sites that have it. If you are in a place where you can legally get it
  17. (i.e. the United States), you should get and install the security
  18. software, too. See INSTALL and the numerous README.export-control
  19. files for details.

  21. Every directory contains several checksum files (BSDSUM, CKSUM, MD5, &
  22. SYSVSUM) that contain checksums of all the other files made with the
  23. cksum(1) utility. The MD5 checksums made with "cksum -m" are
  24. considered the "safest", followed by the CKSUM POSIX-style checksums
  25. made with the plain "cksum" command. Please check the integrity of
  26. your distribution against one of these sets of checksums if
  27. possible. The BSDSUM and SYSVSUM files contain checksums made with the
  28. historical BSD and System V checksum utilities and are provided for
  29. those with no other checksum utilities available.
