  9. This documentation is only meant as a means to get AmiFTPd up and running
  10. quickly.

  18. INSTALLATION
  19. ------------

  21. Simple..
  22.  
  23. 1) put Amiftpd whereever you like.
  24. 2) rename amiftpd_demo.key as amiftpd.key and copy/move it to either the
  25.    same directory where amiftpd resides or in your S: folder/directory.
  26. 3) If you have an inetd daemon configured in your TCP stack (eg. in db/inetd.conf for
  27.    AmiTCP or in db/inetd for Miami), then remove or disable it.
  28. 3) run AmiFTPd in any AmigaDOS Shell.
  29. 4) set general configuration paramaters (see the AmFTPd window pull-down menus)
  30. 5) add a user in the user configuration GUI  (see the AmiFTPd window pull-down menus)
  31. 6) add some Dynamic Virtual File System (DVFS) areas.  (see the AmiFTPd window pull-down menus)
  32. 7) wait for user(s) to connect (or test it yourself by FTPing to "localhost")

  37. PROGRAM ARGUMENTS

  40. AmiFTPd accepts the following arguments on the command line:

  42. S=PUBSCREEN/K:
  43.     Specify the name of the public screen on which to open AmiFTPd. default=Workbench
  44. P=PORTNAME/K/N:
  45.     Specify a port number for on which to listen. default=21
