  1. Reporting Bugs to one of the cdrtools packages:

  4. If you report a bug please follow the guidelines from
  5. http://www.fokus.gmd.de/research/cc/glone/employees/joerg.schilling/private/problems.html
  6. (its in /usr/share/doc/cdrecord/README.Debian if cdrecord is installed).

  8. The most important points you should follow are:

  10. - Always test with latest release if it is still a bug first.
  11. - Include the following information in your report:
  12.  
  13.   # The version number of cdrecord that caused the bug.
  14.   # The command line that was used for the failing command.
  15.   # The complete output (including error messages) from 'cdrecord -v ...'
  16.   # The OS name, release and hardware (processor)
  17.   # Special conditions of your environment (libc vers. SCSI transport ...)
  18.   # Sufficient information on the media used. This is at least the ATIP
  19.     data, a note to CD-R/CD-RW and information on the state and the case
  20.     history of this media.

  22. Of course, if it is only a Bug in the Debian Package (like a build
  23. failure) skip this. :)
