  7. Previous beta users:
  8.  
  9. If you have downloaded and installed any beta version of PrimalSCRIPT you should:
  10.  
  11. 1) save any code snippets that you have created to another folder
  12. 2) export any Info Nexus folders and files that you have added and copy the resulting
  13.    .CSS files to another folder 
  14. 3) uninstall PrimalSCRIPT beta
  15. 4) delete the PrimalSCRIPT folder 
  16. 5) in the registry, delete all subkeys in 
  17.  
  18. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc.\PrimalSCRIPT\1.0 
  19.  
  20. DO NOT DELETE any keys directly within the 1.0 key, only the subkeys
  21.  
  22. 6) install the release version of PrimalSCRIPT
  23. 7) move your snippets into the snippets folder
  24. 8) import your .CSS files into the Info Nexus
  25.  
  26. This insures a clean setup with no leftovers from a previous setup.

  31. Installing applications from the CD:
  32.  
  33. The following applications on the CD do not have Installers.
  34.     Perl
  35.     Rexx
  36. These applications are simple zip files and need to be manually installed.

  40. Internet Explorer:
  41.  
  42. PrimalSCRIPT uses Internet Explorer 3.0 or 4.0 as its internal browser. If
  43. Internet Explorer is not installed, then you must define an external browser
  44. in the View->Options General Tab. 
  45.  
  46. If Internet Explorer is installed, then PrimalSCRIPT will use it to display
  47. any HTML pages. If an external browser is defined, then PrimalSCRIPT will 
  48. use that browser instead of the internal browser.

  50. Internet Explorer 4.0 can be installed from the PrimalSCRIPT CD or downloaded 
  51. from Microsoft's or SAPIEN's web site.

  56. FTP problems:

  58. If you are experiencing problems connecting with FTP, install the WinInet dlls
  59. included in the Wininet folder of the CD. See the readme.txt file in that folder
  60. for details.

  65. Icon colors:
  66.  
  67. For the best icon colors on your desktop be sure to check the "Show icons
  68. using all possible colors" checkbox in your Display Properties. In win95 and 
  69. WinNT 4.0 this is on the Plus! tab. In Win98 it is on the Effects tab.

  74. Batch files:
  75.  
  76. In the languages tab of the View->Options dialog, the edit field set aside for 
  77. entering the "Script Interpreter" needs a SPACE character to activate the rest 
  78. of the fields on that TAB when Batch/CMD is selected. You can also use 
  79. "Command.com /c" or "Cmd.exe /c" in that field.
