  11. PURPOSE:   This diskette provides the customer the necessary software
  12.            utility to determine if their system contains a Pentium(tm)
  13.            processor with the floating point correction and identifies
  14.            the processor information such as stepping ID.
  15.  
  16. WARNING:
  17.            Read this file completely before attempting to use this
  18.            product.
  19.  
  20.            Report any problems with this utility by calling
  21.            1-800-426-3389.
  22.  
  23.            Run this utility from a cold boot only (Power off/on). Otherwise,
  24.            incorrect CPU identification will result.
  25.  
  26.            A paper and pen may prove useful in recording CPU information
  27.            and the status of the results of floating point calculations.
  28.            Information presented to the display screen is not saved.
  29.            Servicers will ask customers for this information.

  41. INSTALLATION STEPS:
  42.  
  43.         1. To run this utility power off the system, insert the upgrade
  44.            utility diskette in diskette drive A: and power up the system.
  45.  
  46.         2. After the system boots, it will display a menu. Press <ENTER>
  47.            to Display CPU Information. Press <ENTER> again to return to
  48.            the main menu.
  49.  
  50.         3. Press the down arrow key once to select Test Pentium (tm)
  51.            Floating Point. Press <ENTER> to display calculation results.
  52.  
  53.            Messages highlighted in white indicates pass and red indicates
  54.            fail condition. Press <ENTER> to return to the main menu.
  55.  
  56.         4. Press the down arrow key once to select Exit.
  57.            Press <ENTER> to exit and return to the command prompt.
  58.  
  59.         5. Remove the utility diskette from the drive and power down the
  60.            system.
